DJ Kitty Amor

IMG_7385For Kitty Amor music was her first love. She was born into a musical talented family and from the tender age of 11, Kitty began to read music. She started playing the drums in order to master the basic sounds of music and develop her musical ear as well as expand her knowledge to how different sounds could be created.

Kitty hosted a soulful house radio show every Saturday on the Midlands biggest underground station based in Nottingham – Rogue FM. Through her fan-base built from these early days, Kitty continues to show her love and appreciation for the music as she interacts with her audience.

Kitty has also played in some of the top nightclubs in the UK such a s Liquid and Envy, Rock City, Mustard Bar, Oceana, Sway Bar featuring on line ups with some of the biggest djs in the house scene.

Through her mix compilations (House Es Amor & Appreciation), Kitty has continued to establish her sound in the UK and expand her fan-base.  Following the success of these releases by achieving over 700+ plays, Kitty caught the eye of the UK’s leading Afro-House DJ, Sef Kombo, (BBC Radio 1extra) who gave her the chance to shine in 2012 at one of the strongest house events called Til Two in London.

Kitty feels naturally at home behind the decks, playing music that touches the soul and people want to dance to.  This is where she has established herself as a dj specialising in deep & soulful and ancestral house.

You may well have seen her more recently at the notorious Afro House Line up for HOJA or at parties such as Motion and her monthly set in the heart of Shoreditch at Vibrant Nights.

Following a great relationship she had built with Martin ‘Atjazz’ Ivenson, Jonny Miller and D-Malice, Kitty was signed to DM.Recordings in 2015 as their official DJ and label assistant. Kitty mixes and produces the label’s podcast show delivering the best sounds on the scene and pushing the label’s very own music.

With the unforgettable sets she has displayed each time she is in the booth, Kitty Amor has been heavily recognised by iconic and established producer/djs that she has always look up to such as Black Coffee, Djeff Afrozilla, Simbad and many more. Kitty Amor has supported and played alongside Atjazz, Culoe De Song, At One, Rancido, Pascal Morais, Jonny Miller and D-Malice. From this very moment, Kitty Amor has been a name climbing to the top of the scene and one thing that you can count on is that she will blow you away, surpass your expectations and have you wanting more.

Managed by Slave2thevibe, her musical style is soul-hitting house that brings the energy from behind the decks out into the crowd delivering her joy to the dancefloor.
